Dogs are welcome on the eastern half of the beach all year (restrictions apply on the western side). Also, just incase you’re wondering, you can actually ‘have a Beer in Beer at the Barrel of Beer’ – an aptly named pub.

Barafundle Bay, Pembrokeshire

Often hailed as one of the most picturesque beaches in Wales, Barafundle Bay boasts golden sands and alluring blue waters, framed by dramatic cliffs. Dogs are welcome here, and they’ll love the space to run and play. Rhossili Bay, South Wales

Rhossili Bay is truly one of a kind! Earning the title ‘The UK’s No.1 dog-friendly beach’ from The Times and ‘The supermodel of British beaches’ from The Independent. With its vast stretch of sand, your pooch will have miles to stretch their legs and explore.

The Worms Head Car Park provides an almost ‘drone like’ view of this spectacular beach and is highly recommended to take in the 3-miles of sheer beauty, however access to the beach from here is steep and tricky. Instead, head to the Hill End Camping Park, which has a car park right next to the beach.

Durdle Door & Lulworth Cove, Jurassic Coast

One of the best coastal walks in Britain! Park at either location to begin this ‘out and back’ 3km walk (which can be made into a circular). Durdle Door is an incredible limestone sea arch and one of Dorset’s most iconic landmarks. The shingle beach with its inviting turquoise waters is also staggeringly beautiful. Lulworth Cove features iconic blue waters and postcard cliffs making it another must see landmark on the Jurassic Coast. Both are extremely popular and it’s easy to see why. Dogs on leads will enjoy this route!

Durdle Door Beach

Brancaster Beach, Norfolk

With its wide expanse of golden sand, Brancaster Beach is a little slice of Norfolk heaven for water-loving pooches and their humans. Apart from a small dog-free section, Brancaster welcomes its four-legged visitors with open arms throughout the year. The adjacent nature reserve offers additional walking trails and opportunities for wildlife spotting.

Saunton Sands, North Devon

This three-and-a-half-mile sandy beach has everything you need for a great day out. You’ll find food outlets, surf hire and lessons, plus deck chair and beach hut rentals. The beach is backed by beautiful sand dunes and the impressive Braunton Burrows, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve teeming with wildlife. You can also take a walk to Crow Point, another dog-friendly spot with stunning views.
