Robbie Roams himself spent several weeks driving his way through France’s dreamy coastlines, storybook villages, incredible mountains, and endless vineyards in his trusty campervan. Now, after exploring the very best this beautiful country has to offer, he’s turned all that knowledge into our brand-new Road Trip France Guidebook.
We know many of you already have our UK and Ireland road trip guides proudly tucked in your glovebox or packed in your camper. But we also know you’re always looking to embark on new adventures. That’s exactly why we’ve created Road Trip France! Whilst a road trip across the channel might feel a little less achievable at first, we promise it’s doable. Our guidebook will give you all the inspiration, tools (and the little nudge) you need to get going!

There’s a few things you’ll need to consider and sort before embarking on your road trip to France. It’s not as easy as just packing up your camper and setting off like when exploring the UK. From driving permits and safety gear, to toll road tips and insurance must-knows, we’ve broken it all down. This France guidebook covers all the important info, so you don’t get caught out.
At the start of each section, you’ll find easy-to-follow itineraries ranging from a few days to five-day road trips. Each one is designed to be flexible, so you can mix them up or bolt on extra sections to extend your road trip.
This is our biggest book to date, and that’s because it’s full of must-see locations throughout France. Each location includes QR codes and What3Words so you can find them easily. For those of you already familiar with our other guides, you’ll also spot something new: we’ve added ‘mini points of interest’ throughout.
